The Challenge
A private residential development in Staffordshire wanted to offer homebuyers a premium, energy-efficient product. The developer sought an integrated renewable energy solution that would differentiate their properties in a competitive market.
Our Solution
We designed a community-scale solar PV system with shared battery storage infrastructure. Each property received a 5kW solar PV system with access to communal battery storage, maximising energy independence while keeping individual costs manageable.
Results
- 870 tonnes of CO2 savings projected over the system lifetime
- £125,000 in aggregate homeowner savings
- All properties achieved EPC A rating
- Development sold out 3 months ahead of schedule, with the energy specification cited as a key differentiator
